Michaela Mincone

Michaela Mincone currently serves as the Science and Stewardship Coordinator at Hudson River Park Trust, where responsibilities include managing visiting scientists and overseeing habitat enhancement research projects. Previous experience includes an internship at the Smithsonian Institution focused on Wood and Spotted Turtle ecology, and a role as a Biological Science Technician with the U.S. Geological Survey, where duties involved wildlife capturing and marking. Michaela also has a background in animal welfare through leadership in student organizations and volunteer roles with various animal care organizations including WellBeings Ranch and Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research & Preservation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior from Bucknell University.
