John Holmes

Chief Architect at Hudson River Trading

John Holmes is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software architecture and development. Currently serving as Chief Architect at Hudson River Trading since July 2008, John has overseen a wide array of technical initiatives. Prior to this role, significant contributions were made at Microsoft from September 2001 to July 2008, including positions such as Software Architect in the Chairman's Office, where John was one of three members advising Bill Gates on the company's technical strategy. Additional roles at Microsoft included Senior Development Lead for Windows Live Messenger and Software Development Engineer for MSN Messenger. Earlier in John's career, a developer role was held at Trilogy Software in 2000. John Holmes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2001.
