Drew Gamils is a Senior Attorney at Riverkeeper since April 2023, having previously served as a Staff Attorney. Prior to that role, Drew worked as an Associate at Keane & Beane, P.C. from September 2016 to March 2023, focusing on municipal, environmental, land development-zoning, and litigation matters, while providing general counsel services to municipalities in Westchester and Dutchess Counties. Earlier experience includes positions as a Law Clerk at Keane & Beane and the US Environmental Protection Agency, a Student Attorney at the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic, and a Legal Intern at the Pace Energy & Climate Center. Educational background includes a Juris Doctor from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies and Urban Environmental Science from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Drew also held positions such as Managing Editor for the Pace Environmental Law Review and Summer Programs Leader for the Alliance for a Living Ocean.

Riverkeeper is a member-supported watchdog organization dedicated to defending the Hudson River and its tributaries and protecting the drinking water supply of nine million New York City and Hudson Valley residents. Riverkeeper is actively involved in several issues and campaigns including, gas drilling also known as fracking, Indian Point, water quality, sewage contamination, pollution enforcement, and Newtown Creek and Gowanus Canal Superfund cleanup. For more than 45 years Riverkeeper has been New York’s clean water advocate.
