Monica Gutierrez has extensive experience in finance and operations, currently serving as the Finance & Operations Manager at Riverkeeper since July 2014, after progressing through roles as Coordinator and Senior Coordinator. Prior to Riverkeeper, Monica held the position of Office Manager at Pullano Imports Inc. from October 2005 to July 2014, where responsibilities included submitting necessary tax forms to the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance and retail price postings. Additional experience includes serving as an Administrative Assistant at Artevino LLC., as well as roles at ClickToSip.com and Vinofiamma Inc., focusing on data entry and compliance tasks related to the wine industry. Monica Gutierrez is an alumna of the Borough of Manhattan Community College.
Riverkeeper
Riverkeeper is a member-supported watchdog organization dedicated to defending the Hudson River and its tributaries and protecting the drinking water supply of nine million New York City and Hudson Valley residents. Riverkeeper is actively involved in several issues and campaigns including, gas drilling also known as fracking, Indian Point, water quality, sewage contamination, pollution enforcement, and Newtown Creek and Gowanus Canal Superfund cleanup. For more than 45 years Riverkeeper has been New York’s clean water advocate. We have helped to establish globally recognized standards for waterway and watershed protection and serve as the model and mentor for the growing Waterkeeper movement that includes nearly 200 Keeper programs across the country and around the globe.
