Kara Merritt

Kara Merritt's work experience includes working at Hudson Valley Credit Union and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

At Hudson Valley Credit Union, Kara started as a Teller in November 2015 and worked until November 2016. Kara then served as a Financial Services Representative and On the Job Trainer from November 2016 until their current position as an Assistant Branch Manager, which they started in March 2023. In their roles, Kara provided alternative lending solutions, originated and evaluated loan applications, and ensured the timely submission of accurate loan files.

Prior to joining Hudson Valley Credit Union, Kara worked as a Summer Intern at Enterprise Rent-A-Car from May 2014 to August 2015. Their responsibilities included showing customers vehicles, explaining contracts, selling insurance, collecting payments, and making phone calls to check in on customers, insurance companies, and dealerships.

Kara Merritt has a diverse education history. Kara started their academic journey at Dutchess Community College, where they pursued an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities. Kara attended this institution from 2011 to 2013.

Following their time at Dutchess Community College, Kara enrolled at the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill. Kara earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from this institution, attending from 2013 to 2015.

Kara's pursuit of higher education continued at Southern New Hampshire University, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Sports Management. Kara studied at this university from 2015 to 2017.

Aside from their formal degrees, Kara has also obtained additional certifications. Kara became a Notary Public through the Hudson Valley Credit Union in August 2021. In February 2017, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma-White Belt certification from the same institution.
