Vice President of Patient Services at Hudson Valley Hospice

Jason Wertheim has an extensive work experience in the hospice and palliative care field. Jason started their career as a Volunteer at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany, NY in 1982. Jason then worked as an Assistant Patient Care Coordinator at Jansen Memorial Hospice from 1990 to 1993. From 1993 to 2008, they served as the Director of Patient Services at both VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION OF HUDSON VALLEY and Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam. In 2008, they became the Regional Director at Community Hospice Albany until 2011 when they became the VP of Patient Services at Hospice, Inc. In 2012, they held various positions including Director of Facility Based Care at MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care, Co Chair at VA Hudson Valley Partnership, and Director of Patient Services at Hudson Valley Hospice. In 2015, they became the Vice President of Patient Services at Hudson Valley Hospice.

Jason Wertheim obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY, from 1978 to 1983. Jason then pursued a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Oncology Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, from 1984 to 1988. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) from the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center. The specific dates of when they obtained this certification are not provided.
