Maureen McCarthy, RN

Maureen McCarthy, RN, is currently the Vice President of Patient Access at Hudson Valley Hospice. Prior to their current position, McCarthy served as the Director of Access for Hospice and Palliative Care Services at MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care from March 2013 to December 2014. In this role, they oversaw access and admissions for hospice and non-contract community palliative care services for one of the largest hospice and palliative care programs in New York State.

From May 2010 to March 2013, McCarthy was the Director of the Palliative Care Program at MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care, where they were responsible for the day-to-day management of the most innovative community-based palliative care program in the country. Prior to that, they served as the Manager of the Palliative Care Program at Metropolitan Jewish Hospice and Palliative Care from December 2009 to May 2010.

From December 2007 to December 2009, McCarthy worked as a Clinical Consultant at Metropolitan Jewish Hospice and Palliative Care. From March 2005 to December 2009, they also worked as an Infusion Center at Vassar Brothers Medical Center - Dyson Center for Cancer Care.

In addition to their work in the healthcare industry, McCarthy also served as a Councilwoman for the Town of Wappingers from January 2004 to December 2010.

Maureen McCarthy, RN is a registered nurse who received their nursing education from Regis College and Boston College. Maureen is certified in medical coding and compliance from the Board of Medical Specialty Coding and Compliance, and in hospice and palliative care from the Hospice & Palliative Care Association of New York State and the Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses Association.
