Charles Slaton's work experience includes their current position as Vice President of Great Employment Experiences (HR) at Hueman People Solutions since February 2019. Prior to that, they had a long career in the US Navy, where they served in various roles such as Command Master Chief/Senior Executive/Human Resources Director, Force Medical Senior Executive/Senior Advisor, Hospital Corpsman/Senior Manager, Director/Department Head/Lead Instructor, Director/Department Head/Battalion Chief, and Radiologic Technologist/Department Manager. In these roles, they demonstrated expertise in advising, managing, and promoting good order, discipline, and effective medical care for military personnel and their families. Their Navy career lasted from 1992 to 2019.
Charles Slaton's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Care Administration from Columbia Southern University. Charles also obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from Skagit Valley College. Furthermore, they completed the Senior Enlisted Academy/Command Master Chief Course at the U.S. Naval War College and the Executive Medical Department Course at the Navy Medicine Professional Development Center, Bureau of Navy Medicine in Bethesda, MD. Additionally, Charles attended the Naval School of Health Sciences in San Diego, CA, where they studied Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiographer. Charles also completed the Combat Medicine program at the USMC/USN Field Medical Service School in Camp Pendleton, CA, as well as the Navy Instructor School in Pensacola, FL, focusing on Instructor and Curriculum Development.
In terms of additional certifications, Charles has obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in April 2023. Charles also completed the Advice for Leaders During a Crisis program offered by LinkedIn in June 2020. In 2016, Charles obtained an Open Water Diver certification from PADI, and in 2014, they became a Certified Range Safety Officer for Boy Scouts of America through the National Rifle Association.
