Donald L. Colvin

Don’s primary responsibilities include developing new business and overseeing all New York office operations including design, estimating and project management. He joined Huen in 2000 as vice president and established Huen New York, which has earned a reputation as one of the top electrical contractors in upstate New York. Don brought in more than $100 million of new business over the past five years and built the core team for Huen New York.

Under Don’s leadership, Huen New York launched a Special Projects Group, which provides 24-hour service with a fleet of nearly 20 vehicles. He was instrumental in the creation Huen’s Manufacturing Center, which produces a variety of electrical products and assemblies. Current production includes Huen’s innovative raceway systems that allow health club members to watch TV at each treadmill and stair climber location.

Don has more than 33 years of experience in electrical construction operations He attended Cayuga State College, New York, and Clayton State University, Atlanta. He has earned several safety awards, including the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) in 2008 for zero accidents.
