Jared Nelson

Jared Nelson is a Project Engineer at Huffman Engineering Inc., where responsibilities include engineering services and control systems integration since January 2017. Prior experience includes a role as a Peer Mentor at Iowa State University, teaching an introductory mechanical engineering class and assisting freshmen with their transition to college. Jared has also worked as an Operations Engineer at Omaha Public Power District, analyzing pumping systems and creating contract requisitions, as well as serving as a Camp Counselor at Pine Cove, leading activities for middle and high school students. Additional experience includes a Product Development and Process Engineering internship at Hood Packaging, where improvements generated significant cost savings, a supervisory role at Ailes Detasseling, and cashier duties at Hy Vee. Jared holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
