Merlin `Butch' Phillips

Merlin "Butch" Phillips is an experienced professional with a diverse background in emergency medical services, security, and military operations. Currently serving as an Armored Service Technician at Loomis and a member of the All Hazards Incident Management Team with HELP Disaster Management since 2014, Merlin has also worked as an on-call Rapid Response Security Officer with Huffmaster. Prior experience includes roles as an EMT-Intermediate and Wheelchair Lift Van Operator with ArcAngel Transport Services and Mission Health Systems, where extensive responsibilities included Air Medical Communications and serving as a Security Officer. Earlier in their career, Merlin gained technical skills as an Installer/Technician at Charter Communications and demonstrated leadership and operational expertise during military service as a Sergeant in the US Army, participating in significant deployments such as Operation Just Cause and Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Education includes multiple certificates in Emergency Medical Technology from Blue Ridge Community College, Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, and Fayetteville Technical Community College.
