Shivaji Chatterjee

Shivaji Chatterjee has extensive work experience, primarily in the telecommunications industry. Shivaji started their career at Integra Micro Systems in 1994, where they worked as a Senior Marketing Executive, focusing on sales of imaging and office automation products and services.

In 1997, Chatterjee joined Hughes Communications India as a Director/Senior Marketing Manager. During their time there, they led the Corporate Sales function and the Internet business portfolio, managing account and regional sales, as well as business and market development in assigned verticals. Shivaji held this position until 2005.

Following that, Chatterjee took on the role of Senior Director - Sales and Marketing at Hughes, responsible for heading the integrated sales and marketing function for both Corporate and Government businesses. Shivaji played a key role in expanding the VSAT market into new sectors and was involved in various e-government initiatives. Shivaji held this position until 2008.

In 2009, Chatterjee was promoted to Vice President & Head - Networks Business at Hughes. In this role, they were responsible for leading the entire network business portfolio, including satellite, terrestrial, internet, and managed network services for Enterprise, Government, and SMEs. Shivaji successfully managed the P&L and led the business to a double-digit growth for four consecutive years. Shivaji also oversaw all business and business support functions, managing a team of over 300 employees. Chatterjee held this position until 2014.

From 2014 to 2022, Chatterjee served as the Senior Vice President at Hughes, continuing to contribute to the company's growth and success.

Most recently, starting in 2022, they were appointed as the Executive Vice President at Hughes, further demonstrating their leadership abilities within the company.

Currently, Shivaji Chatterjee holds the role of CEO - President & MD at Hughes Communications India.

Shivaji Chatterjee completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Bharati Vidyapeeth University College Of Engineering, Pune from 1990 to 1994. Before that, they attended SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) from 1995 to 1997, where they obtained a Master of Management Studies degree in Marketing. Prior to their higher education, Shivaji attended Learners Academy from 1985 to 1988 for their I.C.S.E qualification and Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, Chennai from 1976 to 1985.
