Benjamin Young is a seasoned entrepreneur and educator with a diverse background. As Co-Founder of Hugo & Hoby since December 2014, Benjamin focuses on creating accessible, sustainable furniture inspired by family legacies in design and environmentalism. Previous experience includes a role as Summer Associate at Innosight, where Benjamin researched business models for a leading pharmaceutical company, and serving as a High School Mathematics Teacher at Moses Brown School, where Benjamin developed a peer leadership course and led an impactful service trip to Kenya. As a Teach For America Corps Member, Benjamin was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2011 while teaching mathematics and coaching soccer. Educational credentials include an MBA from Yale School of Management and degrees in Economics, Psychology, and Secondary Education from Swarthmore College and the University of Pennsylvania.
