Catherine Carmody

Catherine Carmody is an experienced writing instructor and teaching artist with a strong background in education and advocacy for diverse learners. Currently affiliated with Hugo House, The Loft Literary Center, Austin Bat Cave, and Antioch University-Los Angeles as an adjunct professor, Catherine has previously held teaching roles at Overland High School, Endeavor Academy, and Mapleton Early College High School. Catherine's teaching approach emphasizes social justice, culturally relevant pedagogy, and collaboration with community leaders, while also incorporating technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Catherine holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Antioch University-Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Miami University.
