Sanjukta Shams (Shama)

Sanjukta (Shama) Shams is an experienced instructor and nonprofit professional with a diverse background in education, philanthropy, and community relations. Currently serving as an instructor at Hugo House since April 2022, Sanjukta has also held key leadership roles, including Director of Philanthropy and Marketing at REST and Senior Development Manager at Per Scholas. With extensive experience in teaching nonprofit development, fundraising, and community engagement, Sanjukta has successfully established philanthropic initiatives, managed large operating budgets, and secured grants to support various organizations. Sanjukta holds a Master’s degree in Religion from Florida State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Agnes Scott College.
