Lauramaija Järvenpää has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lauramaija started their career in 2001 as a Debt Collection Specialist at Aktiv Kapital Finland Oy. Lauramaija later joined the Youth Department at the City of Helsinki as a Trainee, where they were involved in collaboration development and evaluation of recruiting processes. In 2008, they moved to Intrum Justitia Finland Oy as a Debt Collection Specialist. Järvenpää then transitioned to Tieto in 2011, where they worked as an HR Specialist and later as an HR Business Partner, supporting and coaching managers in the Managed Services service line. Lauramaija also had a brief stint as an HR Business Partner at Tieto's Industrial and Consumer Services (ICS) Industry group and Support functions. In 2015, Järvenpää took on the role of an HR Business Partner at Tieto, providing support to managers in the Telecom, Media & Energy (TME) and Consulting and System Integration (CSI) service line. Lauramaija also took on the additional responsibilities of acting as the Head of HR for the TME Industry group. Currently, Järvenpää is working at Huhtamaki as a VP Human Resources, Flexible Packaging, leading the HR function and contributing to the company's commitment to sustainable packaging solutions.

Lauramaija Järvenpää obtained a Master of Arts (Education) degree from the University of Helsinki between 2002 and 2008. Their areas of study included Education (General and Adult Education), Mathematics, Leadership and Management, and Social Psychology. Lauramaija also has a certification in SHL OPQ Personality & Ability Assessment from CEB (now Gartner), which was obtained in 2018.
