Sofia Silberman-Hammer

Sofia Silberman-Hammer has a diverse work experience starting in 2009, where they worked as an Assistant to the Project Manager at the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce. Sofia then joined FCG Finnish Consulting Group in 2014, where they held various roles including Project Coordinator, Consultant, Advisor, Project Manager, and eventually Project Director. In this position, Sofia worked on international investment projects, offering consulting services on business strategy, regulatory aspects, and financial feasibility to key clients such as the World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

In 2019, Sofia joined Elomatic Oy as a Project Director, where they successfully built prospects for a renewable energy investment portfolio, managed sales and outreach efforts, led a cross-functional team, and developed a green energy solution for Helsinki City's International Innovation Challenge Competition. Sofia also generated sales leads, built partnerships, and led accounts, working with clients such as the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation and the Government of Uzbekistan.

In 2020, Sofia pursued an MBA at INSEAD, completing their studies in 2021. Following their MBA, they worked as an Associate at McKinsey & Company from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Sofia holds the position of Head of Strategic Planning at Huhtamaki since 2023, where they are responsible for overseeing strategic planning initiatives.

Additionally, in 2023, Sofia became a Board Member of the INSEAD Alumni Association Finland.

Sofia Silberman-Hammer completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at INSEAD in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Baltic Sea Region Studies from the University of Turku in 2013. In 2010, Sofia also participated in an academic exchange program at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, focusing on Nordic Political Studies. Sofia started their education journey with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Finnish Philology from Saint Petersburg State University, which they completed in 2009.

Additionally, Sofia holds various certifications, including IN-Board Academy and Blue Ocean Strategy Certificate from INSEAD, obtained in 2023 and 2021 respectively. Sofia also completed the Elements of AI certification from Reaktor, University of Helsinki in 2019, and obtained the IPMA Level C - Certified Project Manager certification from IPMA in 2018. Sofia has completed several other courses and certifications related to management, economics, language, and project management throughout their education and professional career.
