Sean Gough is a seasoned professional in nuclear criticality safety with extensive experience across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Nuclear Criticality Safety Analyst at HukariAscendent since April 2018, Sean provides critical safety support at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where responsibilities include evaluations, calculations, and mentoring. Prior to this role, Sean held the position of Senior Consulting Engineer at Atkins Nuclear Solutions US, managing the criticality safety aspects during the remediation of the Parks Township Shallow Land Disposal Area. As a Nuclear Criticality Safety Lead Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company, Sean developed a new safety basis for plant operations and evaluated integrated safety analyses and criticality evaluations. Early in the career, Sean also contributed significantly at Washington Safety Management Solutions and Westinghouse Savannah River Company through various engineering roles, focusing on safety analyses and evaluations for nuclear facilities. Gough holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
