Pravashni Nirghin

Pravashni Nirghin has extensive work experience in various finance and administration roles. Pravashni is currently serving as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at Hulamin since December 2023, where they are responsible for financial management and reporting. Prior to this, they worked at Vodacom for over 16 years, holding several positions including Principal Specialist: Group Consolidations and Senior Specialist: Compliance. Pravashni has also worked as an Auditor at Desai, Bhagat and Jeena and as an Administration Manager at Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd. Pravashni's career started as a Bookkeeper at Taxperts.

Pravashni Nirghin obtained their Senior Certificate from Ladysmith Secondary School in the years 1993 to 1998. Pravashni then went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 1999 to 2001. Pravashni pursued further education and completed a BCompt (Honrs) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in 2009. In 2015, they obtained an Honours degree in Bachelor of accounting science (CTA) from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Pravashni also obtained the qualification of Qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2016. Recently, in the year 2020 to 2021, Pravashni Nirghin completed a Postgraduate in Management: Digital Business at the Wits Business School, specializing in Digital Business.
