Hull York Medical School
Matti Jubouri is a medical student at Hull York Medical School, with extensive involvement in various leadership and representative roles within the medical community. Currently serving as a HYMS Student Ambassador and a regional representative for both ENT UK and the British Medical Association, Matti has been active in organizing surgical skills sessions as the Education and Surgical Skills Lead for the Surgical Society. In addition to these roles, Matti has held multiple positions such as Chair of the National Surgical Conference Lead, Deputy Chair of the MSC Conference, and has contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. With a solid background in clinical internships and an academic trajectory that includes a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Matti is well-prepared for a future in surgery and medicine.

Hull York Medical School
Hull York Medical School was founded in September 2003 as a partnership between the University of Hull, the University of York and the NHS in North and East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. Its first cohort of students graduated in 2008. The development and ethos of the school reflects innovative thinking about the kind of medical education required in the 21st century and a collaborative model of research development. Hull York Medical School provides a focus for improving the quality and equity of local health care and population health, the continuing professional development of all staff at all levels in the NHS, and assisting the NHS to retain newly qualified doctors. It is also the engine for the development of excellent medical and health research in the region.
