Carmen Maurer

Carmen Maurer is an experienced therapeut and specialist in animal-assisted interventions, currently serving at Hulphond Nederland as an animal-assisted therapist since February 2022, and at GGZ Oost Brabant as a GGZ-agoog and therapist in animal-assisted interventions since January 2019. Carmen's extensive background includes working with various organizations, providing therapy and support to children, adolescents, and adults, particularly those with autism and intellectual disabilities. As a board member of AAIZOO, Carmen contributed to the development and promotion of animal-assisted care in the Netherlands. Carmen's academic qualifications include a Post HBO degree in grief therapy and various certifications related to animal-assisted coaching and pedagogy, further enhancing expertise in the field.
