Charly Román

Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Hum Capital

Charly Román has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Developer and Designer at Revolución IP, where they focused on CMS development and web design. In 2012, they moved on to Diti Soluciones and Vinco Orbis Proyectos SA de CV, working as a Python Developer in both companies. Charly also gained experience in CMS development, RFID systems, and biometric access control desktop applications. Charly then freelanced as a Designer and Developer, offering full-stack development, application architecture consulting, and server administration services. In 2013, they joined Interalia.net as a Desarrollador Open Source, gaining skills in full-stack development, Linux server administration, and architectural design of distributed applications. In 2015, Charly worked as a Software Engineer at Wizar, focusing on platform design, REST-ish API design, and infrastructure management. Charly then joined Segundamano México in 2016 as a Backend Developer, where they developed CI/CD pipelines, implemented feature toggle solutions, and maintained a custom blue/green deployment system. Charly continued to progress in their career and moved to Covalto in 2017, starting as a Sr Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and a Squad Leader. At Covalto, they managed software development and data science teams, designed hiring processes, and built critical features for portfolio management software. In 2020, Charly joined Hum Capital as a Lead Site Reliability Engineer.

Charly Román obtained a Carrera Técnica degree in Especialidad en Programación from Centro de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos No. 9 from 2007 to 2010. Earlier, from 2004 to 2006, Charly completed a Carrera Técnica in Programación from Grupo Metropolitano de Computación e Idiomas. In addition to these degrees, Charly also obtained a certification in The Data Scientist’s Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates in March 2015.
