Byron Porter has a range of work experience in various industries. Byron founded and served as the CEO of Hum, starting in December 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Archer Daniels Midland Company, where they held multiple roles, including Engineering Superintendent from February 2016 to July 2018, Plant Engineer from October 2014 to February 2016, and Production Engineer from July 2013 to October 2014. Byron also worked as an Energy Storage Research Assistant at Brigham Young University from January 2013 to June 2013 and as a Strategic MRO Intern at Celanese from May 2012 to August 2012.
Byron Porter began their education in 2007 at Brigham Young University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Byron attended the university until 2013. In 2018, Byron enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Byron completed their MBA program in 2020.
