Russ Clay

Russ Clay, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist and social psychologist with extensive experience in health care, pharmaceuticals, academic research, and finance. They served as a Senior Data Scientist at UVA Health from 2016 to 2023, where they developed a full-stack application for real-time data extraction and predictive modeling. Currently, they are the Founder and Lead Data Scientist at CommonWealth Data Solutions, LLC, and work as a Data Scientist at Hum, developing AI tools for the publishing ecosystem. Academically, Russ has taught psychology at multiple institutions and has contributed to numerous publications in top psychology journals. They hold a PhD in Experimental (Social) Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
