Joshua Stone

Joshua Stone, MA, ATC, CSCS, CES, PES, serves as the Associate Director and Senior Acquisition Editor at Human Kinetics since January 2013, focusing on content related to athletic training, sports medicine, physical therapy, massage therapy, and biomechanics. As the owner of Stone Athletic Medicine, Joshua specializes in optimizing human movement and enhancing athletic performance. Joshua's experience as an adjunct faculty member at Bryan University includes teaching advanced topics in personal training and exercise science. Previously, as Sports Medicine Program Manager for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Joshua developed various educational courses and collaborated with academic institutions. Early career roles included Kinesiologist at Medical Functional Assessments and athletic training positions at Long Beach State University and San Jose State University, providing comprehensive care to Division I athletes. Joshua holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology/Athletic Training and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training.
