Cathryn Oakley

Cathryn Oakley serves as the Senior Director of Legal Policy at the Human Rights Campaign, providing critical advice to legislators and advocates to advance LGBTQ equality, focusing on non-discrimination laws and opposing anti-LGBTQ legislation. In addition to this role, Cathryn is an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, co-teaching a course on "Sexuality and the Law" within the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program. Previously, Cathryn worked as an Associate at The Myerson Law Group P.C., specializing in family law. Cathryn holds a Juris Doctor from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and a BA in Economics from Smith College.
