Robert Villaflor

Senior Design Director at Human Rights Campaign

Robert Villaflor has a strong background in design and art direction, with experience in both the corporate and educational sectors. Robert started their career in 1993 as an Associate Art Director at Architecture Magazine, AIA. Robert then worked as an Art Director at Black Book Magazine from 1995-1997, followed by a position as an Art Director at Time Inc. from 1997-1999. From 2000-2006, they served as the Design Director at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design. Robert then transitioned to the role of Adjunct Instructor, Graphic Design at Corcoran College of Art and Design from 2004-2008. Most recently, they have been working as the Senior Design Director at the Human Rights Campaign since 2006.

Robert Villaflor completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Graphic Design at Penn State University. Their education was followed by a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Graphic Design from Yale University, which they completed from 1996 to 1998.
