Human Rights Commission
Hala Al-Tuwaijri currently serves as the President of the Human Rights Commission, a position held since September 2022. Previously, Hala was the Secretary General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from June 2017 to June 2023, where involvement included the Family Affairs Council. Additionally, Hala held the role of Vice Dean at King Saud University's College of Arts from September 2013 until June 2023, and prior to that, served as Vice Dean of the College of Arts from June 2012 to June 2016. Hala's academic credentials include a degree as an Assistant Professor in English Literature from King Saud University.

أنشئت هيئة حقوق الإنسان بموجب "تنظيم هيئة حقوق الإنسان" الصادر بقرار مجلس الوزراء رقم (207) وتاريخ 8/ 8/ 1426هـ. وتهدف الهيئة إلى حماية حقوق الإنسان وتعزيزها وفقاً لمعايير حقوق الإنسان الدولية في جميع المجالات، ونشر الوعي بها والإسهام في ضمان تطبيق ذلك في ضوء أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية. والهيئة هي الجهة المختصة بإبداء الرأي والمشورة فيما يتعلق بمسائل حقوق الإنسان. وتتمتع الهيئة بالشخصية الاعتبارية، ولها الاستقلال التام في ممارسة مهامها التي أنشئت من أجلها والمنصوص عليها في تنظيمها. وقد عدل تنظيم الهيئة بموجب قرار مجلس الوزراء رقم (237) وتاريخ 1437/6/5هـ The Human Rights Commission was established under the "Regulation of the Human Rights Commission" issued by Cabinet Resolution No. (207) dated 8/8/1426 AH. The Commission aims to protect and promote human rights in accordance with international human rights standards in all fields, raise awareness of them and contribute to ensuring the implementation of this in light of the provisions of Islamic Sharia. The Commission is the body competent to express opinion and advice on human rights issues.
