Michael Theys is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in fundraising, recruitment, and event coordination. Currently serving as a Major Gifts Officer and Individual Gifts & Development Consultant at the Human Rights Foundation since October 2020, Michael is focused on developing donor engagement strategies and securing new donations. Prior to this role, Michael worked as a Technology Manager at Goodman Masson, where a new market vertical was established, and held several positions at Glocomms, leading recruitment efforts in software engineering. Earlier experience includes roles in design and event coordination at LUXE Creative and teaching assistance at the University of Pittsburgh. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and Spanish Language and Literature, alongside two minors, from the University of Pittsburgh and has participated in an academic program at the University of Valencia.

Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that promotes and protects human rights globally, with a focus on closed societies. We believe that all human beings are entitled to freedom of self-determination, freedom from tyranny, the rights to speak freely, to associate with those of like mind, and to leave and enter their countries.
