Amy Kahn

Amy Kahn is a Research Specialist at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) since February 2020, where responsibilities include designing and managing the South African Businesses Innovation Survey on behalf of the Department of Science and Innovation. Previously, Amy served as Chief Researcher at the Southern Africa Labour and Development Research Unit (SALDRU), University of Cape Town, and was a PhD candidate focused on language, education, labor markets, and survey methodology. Earlier experience includes roles as a survey consultant for the National Income Dynamics Study and Team Leader at Economic Development Initiatives, specializing in large-scale socio-economic assessments. Amy's educational background includes a PhD in Economics and multiple degrees in Economics and Sociology from the University of Cape Town.
