Brian Powers

Brian Powers is an accomplished healthcare leader with extensive experience in clinical strategy, population health, and academic medicine. Currently serving as Vice President of Clinical Strategy and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Humana since July 2020, Powers has also held key roles, including Hospitalist at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, and Editor for Healthcare: The Journal of Delivery Science and Innovation with Elsevier until November 2023. Previous positions include Director of Population Health Strategy and Analytics at Anthem, Internal Medicine Physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Atrius Health, Delivery Innovation Lead at CareMore Health, and Venture Advisor with F-Prime Capital. Powers holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bowdoin College.
