Mark Scaife

Mark Scaife is the Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer at Mara Renewables Corporation, where they focus on maximizing people's value creation and developing innovative business practices. Previously, they served as a Senior Research Scientist-Supervisor in metabolic engineering and held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Cambridge and Ocean Nutrition Canada, where their work concentrated on microbial production of high-value natural products. Mark completed a Ph.D. in Genetics at the University of Sheffield, specializing in metabolic engineering, and earned a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Derby. They are also a board member at Humanativ and Algenuity Ingredients, contributing to advancements in the field.
