Johnnie Kearse III

Johnnie Kearse III has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Johnnie is currently working as a Senior Backend Developer at HumanFirst since September 2022.

Prior to this, they worked at Opslock from January 2019 to July 2022, where they were a Computer Systems Developer. In this role, they contributed to all aspects of the engineering lifecycle, including provisioning and deploying Docker-driven IoT servers, designing and developing containerized backend services, and creating internal developer experience tools.

Additionally, they worked as a Computer Systems Development Consultant (Freelance) at Opslock from August 2017 to December 2018, offering their expertise in analyzing product use cases and proposing solutions to enhance the software and hardware ecosystem. Johnnie implemented a Docker-driven IoT server and optimized CI/CD pipelines during this time.

From 2017 to 2018, Johnnie co-owned Amber North Music, where they also worked as a musician.

Johnnie has also worked as a Software Developer/Software Consultant (Freelance) and Musician/Audio Engineer/Producer, providing software development services and fulfilling music and audio needs for clients across various industries.

Lastly, they briefly worked as a Barista at Joe Digs Coffee in November and December 2017.

Johnnie Kearse III attended Salisbury University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
