Barbara Heikkinen

Barbara Heikkinen is the current Editor in Chief at Humans For AI. Prior to that, they were the Head of Silo AI US from March 2021 to August 2021. Silo AI is a trusted partner for building AI-powered products with a team of 150+ AI experts.

Before Silo AI, Barbara was the Vice President, Data, Project Management & Coordination at BBVA from January 2018 to December 2019. At BBVA, they defined data strategy and policy for Open Platform that launched banking-as-a-service as first in US market, with APIs for identity verification, account origination, card issuance, and move money.

Barbara has a passion for AI/ML and has spearheaded projects with Stanford and MIT on these topics. Barbara sponsored the MIT Symposium in Boston on "Interpretable Machine Learning Models and Financial Applications" which brought together financial industry leaders, regulators, and researchers.
