Jason Harmsey

Jason Harmsey has a diverse work experience in the furniture industry. Jason started their career in 2001 with Seating (Pty) Ltd., where they held various roles including Regional Key Accounts Manager, Corporate Sales Executive, and Regional Sales Manager. Jason eventually became the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, overseeing sales and marketing strategies, brand positioning, and new product development.

In 2016, Harmsey joined Humanscale as the Product Director of Seating. Jason was responsible for strategic planning and management of the seating product portfolio, successfully launching the first sustainable chair in response to the work-from-home demand during the COVID pandemic. Jason contributed to the expansion of the product line and the acquisition of new customers by incorporating recyclable materials and achieving a net positive carbon footprint.

Harmsey's career progressed within Humanscale, and they currently serve as the Vice President of Product Management - Seating.

Jason Harmsey attended Varsity College from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a degree in International Marketing Management. Prior to that, they studied Sports and Event Management at Damelin from 1999 to 2000. Jason completed their Pitmans Maths degree at CBC Bulawayo from 1995 to 1997. In 2006, they pursued a program in Business Management called the Internal Mini MBA at Bidvest. The end year for their education at Bidvest is not provided.
