Pedro Vaz Teixeira has a diverse background in engineering and research. Pedro started as a researcher at the Underwater Systems and Technologies Laboratory in 2009 before moving on to roles at the European Space Agency, Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology Centre, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Pedro then transitioned to a Postdoctoral Investigator at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in 2019 before becoming a Principal Algorithms Engineer at Humatics in 2021.
Pedro Vaz Teixeira completed their M.Sc. in Electrical and computer engineering at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2004 to 2009. Pedro then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechanical Engineering/Applied Ocean Sciences and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2019. Additionally, they studied at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2008-2009.
