Veronica Harwood-Stevenson

Veronica Harwood-Stevenson is an accomplished professional with extensive expertise in biotechnology, entrepreneurship, and science communication. As an Advisor at Global Entrepreneurship Network New Zealand since July 2020, and a founder of humble bee ltd since September 2010, Veronica leads the development of innovative biomaterials utilizing biomimicry and synthetic biology. Veronica is also an Edmund Hillary Fellow and a Life Sciences Programme Alumni at Springboard Enterprises, contributing to the Kiwi startup community and supporting health and life science ventures. Previous roles include Chair of the Wellington Momentum Investment Committee and Founder & Creative Director of Spindle Fibre Films. With educational credentials including a Master's degree in Science Communication and Filmmaking and a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular Biology and Anatomical Sciences from the University of Otago, Veronica combines scientific knowledge with creative storytelling to address market and environmental challenges.
