Humble ISD
Matthew Mahony is an experienced educational leader with a substantial background in various administrative and teaching roles. Currently serving as Principal of Summer Creek High School at Humble Independent School District since July 2015, Matthew has also held positions as Associate Principal and Assistant Principal. Prior experience includes serving as an Instructional Specialist for English Language Arts at Galena Park Independent School District and multiple roles over a twelve-year tenure at Conroe Independent School District, where Matthew was an English Department Chair and teacher for various English courses, including AP English III. Matthew's initial experience in education was at San Antonio Independent School District as an Elementary Mentor and Tutor while also coaching boys' and girls' soccer. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature as well as Spanish from Trinity University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Houston, complemented by a Superintendent Certification from the same institution.
