Bettina Experton

Founder & CEO at Humetrix

Bettina Experton has been a leader in the healthcare industry for over three decades. Bettina began their career in 1982 as the Founder & President of Corporate Health Analysts. In 1983, they held the role of Public Health Officer for Santa Barbara County Health Services and the State of California Department of Health, as well as Emergency Medicine Physician for MedCenter Urgent Care Centers Santa Barbara. In 1984, they founded, designed, and managed La Vida Del Mar. In 1985, they were an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) of Medicine at the University of California at San Diego and Medical Director of the UCSD School of Medicine Executive Health Screening Program. In 1988, they founded and became CEO of Humetrix Holdings. In 1990, they were the Director and Principal Investigator of a 5-year prospective and retrospective health care utilization and quality of care outcome health services research project funded by the John A. Hartford Foundation. In 1998, they founded and became CEO of Humetrix, a market leader in the development of novel consumer facing smart card applications, healthcare mobile applications, and cloud-based data analytics platforms. Bettina also served as a Member of the Health and Fitness Technology Division Board and Board of Industry Leaders, as well as Chair of the Health & Fitness Technology Division HIPAA Work Group for the Consumer Technology Association from 2014.

Bettina Experton has a MD from Université Paris 13 in Internal Medicine & Emergency Medicine. Bettina also has a Baccalaureat in Mathematics & Physics from Ecole Chevreul. Bettina Experton then went on to obtain an MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from Loma Linda University School of Public Health. After that, they completed a Public Heath & Preventive Medicine Residency at the State of California Department of Heath Services. Bettina Experton also completed a Pediatrics Internship at the University of California, Davis - School of Medicine. Finally, they attended the University of Grenoble School of Medicine.
