Carlo Polo

Carlo Polo is a highly experienced regulatory science professional with a strong background in regulatory affairs across multiple leading organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Director and Head of Regulatory Science at Hummingbird Bioscience since January 2020, Carlo has spearheaded regulatory strategy and compliance for clinical and non-clinical studies. Prior experience includes regulatory roles at Amgen, where Carlo managed initiatives in over 50 regions for 7 products, and Gilead Sciences, where Carlo ensured compliance across 40+ regions for a diverse portfolio. Earlier career stages included regulatory documentation preparation at PAREXEL and a regulatory internship at the European Medicines Agency, along with a formulation science internship at Italfarmaco. Carlo holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Università di Pavia.
