Kevin Sweeney

Kevin Sweeney has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kevin is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Hummingbird since September 2022. Prior to this role, Kevin worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Hummingbird from May 2021 to September 2022.

Before joining Hummingbird, Kevin worked at Getaround as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2016 to May 2021. In this role, they served as a backend engineer, tech lead, and project lead. Kevin specialized in working with public APIs.

Kevin also worked at Owl ABC as a Full-stack Meteor.js Engineer from January 2016 to October 2016. Kevin was the lead engineer and worked on various aspects of the Meteor application, using Blaze and React for different types of pages. Kevin also integrated the application with external APIs, such as a shipping API (Postmen).

From June 2014 to December 2015, Kevin co-founded and ran Robot Shanghai, a boutique web development studio. Kevin served as the lead developer and was involved in launching multilingual websites primarily using WordPress, Magento, and Symfony.

Kevin was the CTO of iJudgeFights from June 2012 to October 2013. Kevin focused on backend development, including migrating their content and code to the Google App Engine cloud.

Kevin also worked at Exit Games as an Internal Tools Engineer from January 2007 to December 2007. Kevin set up an automated build system and migrated existing scripts.

In 2006, Kevin briefly worked as a Technology Consultant at Accenture.
