Darby Avant

Darby Avant, DSS, CPP, PSP, PCI, CSyP, F.ISRM, FSyl, has extensive experience in security management across various global locations, currently serving as Iraq Country Security Manager at Hunt Oil Company since 2016, where all company security matters are managed to support exploration and production efforts. Prior roles at Hunt Oil included Benin Country Security Manager, International Security Advisor for Kurdistan, and Yemen Country Security Manager, where the development and maintenance of Company Security Manuals and comprehensive security plans were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes serving as GS-15 Personnel Recovery Program Manager at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and as SEAL Interagency Operations Specialist with both SOCCENT and USSOCOM. Darby Avant holds a Doctorate in Strategic Security from National American University, a Master of Science in International Management from Troy University, and a Bachelor of Science in International Administration from Oklahoma State University.
