Thomas Whaley

Thomas Whaley serves as a Teacher of History and Civics at Davidson Day School since August 2024, focusing on high school civics and US history. Prior experience includes teaching social studies at Langtree Charter Academy from August 2019 to August 2024, where responsibilities encompassed American history, psychology, sociology, geography, and journalism for grades 9-12. Between March 2016 and August 2019, Thomas was the Director of Search Execution at Hunt Executive Search, Inc., collaborating on executive searches and managing projects related to marketing and business development. Earlier roles at Davidson Day School involved teaching, coaching, and overseeing athletic operations, including summer programs. Thomas also gained experience as a Student Manager and Academic Liaison in the Athletic Department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Thomas Whaley holds a B.A. in American History and a Master's degree in Social Studies Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
