Senior Staff Drilling Engineer at Hunt Oil

Brian Alleman started their work experience as a Field Engineer - MWD at Weatherford in June 2006. Brian was responsible for running EMPP positive MWD tool, taking directional surveys and gamma ray readings, and generating daily reports for internal management and external customers.

In January 2007, Alleman joined Williams Company as a Drilling Engineer I. During their tenure, they developed AFEs for new drill wells, worked with the permitting group to generate APD filings, and prepared AFEs and drilling plans for the San Juan Basin.

In November 2010, Alleman was promoted to Drilling Engineer II at Williams Company. Brian continued to prepare AFEs and drilling plans for the San Juan Basin and also worked with the permitting group to develop operations plans and other documents for APD filings. Brian also collaborated with rig consultants to troubleshoot the drilling process.

In November 2011, Alleman joined Venoco as an Engineer. In this role, they planned the drilling of new wells from surface location selection to permitting to AFE to drilling operations. Brian also identified recompletion candidates and planned their operations and was responsible for monitoring and improving the production of over 200 wells in the Willows-Beehive Bend field.

Finally, in May 2013, Alleman joined Hunt Oil Company as a Senior Staff Drilling Engineer. In this role, they worked on various projects including data optimization and real-time analytics by deploying MasterView Data Warehouse and integrating it with Spotfire. Brian developed Spotfire reports and tracking dashboards, learned and deployed knowledge of R for integrating Pason drilling parameters with geological data for geosteering. Alleman also worked with the data science team to deploy TIBCOStreaming (Streambase) and developed ML models for predicting bit and DBR condition, deploying them to TIBCOStreaming to analyze and make predictions on real-time data. Brian also worked on reducing costs by building a replacement for 3rd party frac data hosting and visualization using AWS dynamoDB and TIBCO Spotfire. Additionally, Alleman served as a drilling engineer for the Burnett Ranch CO2 project, overseeing a rig program drilling vertical wells for an EOR project in King County, TX. Brian also played a part in reducing well time and cost for Wolfcamp B laterals in the Midland Basin by 50% and worked as a night foreman on a three-well batch drilled pad.

Brian Alleman attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering. Additionally, they have also attended CSS, although the specific years and degrees obtained are unknown.
