James W. Griffith, CMI has a diverse work experience in the field of tax and appraisal. James W. started their career as an Appraiser Trainee at Stephen B. Klutz and Associates, where they developed fee appraisal reports for commercial properties. James W. then worked as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser at Dallas Central Appraisal District, where they valued various types of properties for taxation purposes and conducted field inspections.

After that, James joined PepsiCo, Inc. as a Tax Associate Analyst and later became a Tax Analyst, specializing in property tax. Their responsibilities included valuation analysis, appeal processes, preparing tax returns, and reviewing property tax statements.

Currently, James is working at Hunt Energy as a Sr. Tax Analyst and Tax Manager. James W. handles property tax services for various companies under the Hunt umbrella, including Hunt Consolidated, Hunt Oil, Hunt Realty Investments, and Palette Investment Company. James W. also manages the Texas Sales & Use Tax Managed Audit for Hunt Oil Company.

James W. Griffith, CMI completed their education at the University of North Texas from 2000 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate. Prior to attending college, they attended Trinity High School from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their academic achievements, Griffith also holds several certifications. In June 2013, they became a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI) - Property Tax, obtained from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. James W. further obtained the Senior Property Tax Consultant certification from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in March 2016.
