Laura Boland

Laura Boland currently serves as a Stakeholder and Government Relations Advisor at Hunter Water, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Laura was a Senior Project Manager in Science Communication at Science in Public from May 2021 to November 2023 and worked as a Research Impact Officer at the University of Newcastle from February 2020 to January 2021, assisting researchers in planning and measuring the impact of their work. Earlier experience includes being a Program Coordinator and Science Communication Advisor at the Environment Protection Authority Victoria, where Laura managed the Applied Science Strategy and engaged with public audiences regarding scientific communication. Previous roles also include working as a Science Communicator at Science in Public and as an Environmental Scientist at Environmental Earth Sciences, along with early consulting experience at HMS Consultants. Laura holds a Master's degree in Communication from Victoria University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science (Honours) from the University of Newcastle.
