Rodney Chan

Director, Nursing Operations at Huntington Hospital

Rodney Chan has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Rodney started their career in 2000 as an Intensive Care Nurse at York Central Hospital. In 2003, they joined Huntington Health as a Patient Flow Coordinator for their Critical Care department. Rodney then progressed to the role of Clinical Supervisor for Critical Care in 2016. From 2017 to 2022, Rodney served as the Manager of Clinical Education & Practice at Huntington Health's Resource Center and Float Pool. Rodney was then promoted to Associate Director of Clinical Resources in 2022 and is currently holding the position. Rodney will soon be transitioning to the role of Interim Director of Clinical Resources, starting in February 2023.

Rodney Chan's education history includes earning a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Systems Engineering from Loyola Marymount University from 2020 to 2022. Rodney also holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Healthcare Management from Western Governors University, completed in 2018. Rodney obtained their Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from AdventHealth University and has certifications including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and various certifications in nursing specialties. Rodney also completed certificates in Systems Engineering and Project Management from Caltech in 2019 and 2017, respectively. Additionally, they pursued studies in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology at Glendale Community College.
