Huntington Playwriting Fellow at Huntington Theatre Company

Lila Rose Kaplan is an accomplished playwright and educator with extensive experience in the theater industry. Currently serving as a Playwriting Mentor at The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre since January 2013 and a Huntington Playwriting Fellow at the Huntington Theatre Company since November 2012, Kaplan has also published the Off-Broadway debut "WILDFLOWER" through Dramatists Play Service. As a founding member of the Playwrights Union, Kaplan contributes to a community of theater artists in Los Angeles. Additional contributions include teaching playwriting at Westmont College and mentoring students at UC Santa Barbara, where the play "ENTANGLED" was produced. Kaplan's works, including "SELKIES," have been featured in notable festivals such as La Jolla Playhouse’s Car Play Festival. Kaplan holds an MFA in Playwriting from UC San Diego and a BA in English - Creative Writing from Brown University.
