Wenifred W. Watson is an experienced professional in the field of ASL/English interpreting and education. Currently serving as the Interpreter Coordinator at Huntington Theatre Company since 2009, Wenifred also directs the Southeast Mentorship Project, which focuses on the professional development of ASL/English interpreters through various programs, notably the "Peer Mentoring Program." Additionally, Wenifred has maintained a private practice as an ASL/English interpreter since 1994 and has a long-standing career as an entertainer, engaging in singing and acting since 1965. From 1992 to 2012, Wenifred contributed to academia as a lecturer at Northeastern University, teaching ASL Interpreting Skills in a bachelor's program. Wenifred holds a Master's degree in ASL/English interpreting from Northeastern University.
