Electric Engineering Services Lead at Huntsville Utilities

Chris Wells began their work experience in 1987 as a Grounds Crew Supervisor at Scottsboro Parks & Recreation. In 1988, they joined Proctor & Russell Tractor as an Employee, where they assembled various farm equipment and made pick-ups and deliveries for the company. In 1994, Chris became a Technician/Salesman at Kartunes Car Audio Specialists, specializing in custom car audio systems. Chris also participated in the 1994 WAC World Finals, finishing in second place. In 2007, Chris started their own business, Elite Custom Carts, where they built custom golf carts and performed maintenance and customization services. From 2011 to 2013, they co-owned SpaceWalk of North Alabama, renting inflatables for events. Chris joined Huntsville Utilities in 2016 as the Electric Engineering Services Lead, responsible for communicating with customers and developers to determine necessary facilities for adequate service.

Chris Wells' education history begins in 1986 when they attended Scottsboro High School and obtained their high school diploma. Following this, from 1987 to 1989, they attended Earnest Pruett Center of Technology - Jackson County Technical School, where they earned a Certificate in Drafting with a specialization in Electrical/Electronics Drafting and Electrical/Electronics CAD/CADD. With this certificate, they ranked 3rd in their class. Afterward, from 1989 to 1991, they attended Drake State Community and Technical College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Drafting and Design.

Beyond their formal education, Chris Wells has also obtained several certifications. In 1998, they completed the Quality Team Start-Up Training provided by Huntsville Utilities. In the same year, they also attended the Managing Multiple Projects, Objectives & Deadlines seminar organized by SkillPath Seminars. In 1999, they participated in the Record Retention Quality Team and served on the Quality Steering Committee, both at Huntsville Utilities. In 2000, they attended The Conference On Leadership Development & Teambuilding conducted by SkillPath Seminars. The following year, in 2001, they completed the Conference on Customer Service workshop offered by SkillPath. In 2003, they pursued the Self-Discipline and Emotional Control course provided by Career Track. Lastly, in 2009, they undertook the Distribution Line Design and Staking program at Power Delivery Associates.
